Never thought we'd see HERATIKS on a page alongside a Kate Bush Tribute but there you go! Local Radio Station, Sedgemoor fm, living their "Think Local First" campaign to the max, promoting local businesses, events and artists!

A huge personal thank you to the people at Sedgemoor fm
Neil Fellowes (Marketing Director)
A BIG thank-you to Neil for organising the article! Neil is genuinely one of the good guys in this game. Beyond always being ready to offer sharp marketing advice, lend an ear, or help out wherever he can, he’s a true networker in every sense of the word. Through his day-to-day work, he knows countless brands, local businesses and creatives across the region. He instinctively knows who can help who and he will always go out of his way to connect people if they can collaborate and build together. That kind of selfless connection is rare and we massively appreciate him putting this write-up together and backing the HERATIKS sound.

Dave Englefield (Station Boss)
Justin has known Dave for over two decades having worked for him at a previous radio station years back. Anyone around Bridgwater knows Dave is a proper upstanding guy who does a huge amount for the community. The thing with Dave is he doesn't do empty gestures. If he puts his weight behind something, it’s because he genuinely believes in it - so having us on his station, brand that he has put his all into, is a personal backing and we love that!

Sophie Knapp (Friday Night Groove Fusion Dance Show)
Massive love for constantly playing our tracks and championing the underground sound on her Friday night Dance Show. Sophie is all about energy and connection, mixing dance anthems with newer sounds to kick off the weekend. She’s even come down to support us live at Off The Grid in Bridgwater, which was awesome! On top of her radio work, she’s an absolute legend - a lover of everything from reggae to house to drum and bass and the host of the MODA Media Interviews podcast where she’s interviewed the likes of Fatboy Slim, Woody Cook, Goldie Lookin Chain, our good friend James Odell (Hyper Senses) and us! You can check out the podcast on Spotify here.

Yolanda Bentham (Weekdays 6-7pm)
Yolanda has been a familiar voice on the station for over seven years, hosting Sedgemoor Life and highlighting local creatives, events and community projects as her "guest of the week." She has a genuinely relaxed, engaging style and a real belief that everyone in the area has a story worth sharing.
We’re really looking forward to being her guests for an upcoming on-air chat to catch up about everything that’s gone down with HERATIKS over the last two years.
More Than Just Airtime: Real Grassroots Support
What sets Sedgemoor FM apart is that they don't just play a track and move on; they actively build opportunities for local musicians to take the next step.
They’ve recently opened their studio doors to trial new live acoustic sessions, bringing in local artists like singer-songwriter Maddie D to record professional audio and multi-camera video sets alongside an in-depth interview with Katriona.

As Dave Englefield put it when launching the project:
"We think this is a bit of a missing piece locally. There are talented musicians who need opportunities to get themselves seen and heard. We can give them the experience of coming into a professional studio, recording their music and sitting down for a proper interview. And hopefully they leave with some great content, a little more media experience and something that helps them take their next step."

Having broadcast-quality facilities right here in Bridgwater and choosing to collaborate with emerging talent rather than just commercialising the space is what true grassroots culture looks like and we're here for it!
