Thirty-three years after it first dominated the global charts, the Alex Party anthem "Read My Lips" has returned to the summit. The official 2026 relaunch has claimed the NUMBER 1 spot on the Music Week Commercial Pop Chart, marking a triumphant return for one of the most protected legacies in dance music. Since its original release in 1993, the track has remained a prestigious "holy grail" for producers; to date, only 15 official remixes have ever been authorised. The 2026 team now joins an elite circle of legends including K-Klass, George Morel, and Junior Vasquez.

There is support, and then there is THE call-up. March has been crazy...including a massive career milestone. We were invited to deliver an exclusive 10-minute minimix for BBC Introducing in the West. The invitation didn't just come out of thin air; it was a personal shout-out from the man himself, James Threlfall, who has been a champion of the HERATIKS sound since day one.

The momentum behind our official remix of Alex Party’s 90s classic ‘Read My Lips’ has been unreal. The story of how we landed on the biggest station in the UK started in the most unexpected way - an Insta DM!

Saturday, 14th March marks a massive, full-circle moment for us. After nearly two decades of serving as the bedrock of Taunton’s independent music scene, 61 Bar & Venue (formerly Perfect 5th, The Live Room, and The Egg Basket) is closing its doors for good. We met each other a number of years ago at a RUBBADUBDUB and stayed in touch after that and it was this instant connection that made us launch HERATIKS.

Building a sustainable brand in the electronic music industry requires more than just studio time; it requires a genuine connection with the community that shaped you. We are proud to announce that HERATIKS has been featured in the Somerset County Gazette, marking a significant milestone in our project's growth from a Southwest studio outfit to a globally recognised production duo.

On February 6th, we drop our biggest release to date: an official "Bass Tech" rework of the 90s anthem Read My Lips, featuring original vocalist Shanie. Here's the story of how a social media comment led to us remixing a piece of dance music history.

What a year it's been for HERATIKS. We launched the project in late 2024, two DJs/Producers from the Southwest UK with years in the scene but ready to go all-in on our own sound that we wanted to make for ourselves: high-energy tech house, bass-driven rollers, leaning into that garagey swing that we can't get enough of.

For the last few months, we’ve been locked in the studios with a singular focus: stripping back the noise and producing weapons that hit harder than anything we’ve released to date. Original Tech & Bass House of our own, a collaboration and an official remix!

When we finished our debut original track, 'Drop Tha Spot', we knew we had something special, but we could never have predicted the incredible journey it would go on.

It’s an awesome feeling when you finish a track, send it out and then start hearing it’s getting support from DJs in completely different parts of the world. We know we've had our music played everywhere from Miami and Amsterdam to après-ski parties in the French Alps, sets in Ibiza, and clubs all across the UK. But after the initial buzz, a question sometimes lingers: how do those plays actually turn into money in our bank accounts?

This is the moment it all clicks. The final, official master for “DROP THA SPOT” has landed from the wizards at Most Wanted Audio, and honestly, it’s sounding even bigger than we could have hoped. The energy is unreal. Hearing it in its final form has us absolutely buzzing and ready for what’s next.
