It’s not every day you get asked to rework a piece of dance music history. But on February 6th, 2026, we are proud to drop our Official Remix of the legendary 90s anthem, "Read My Lips" (originally by Alex Party).
This isn't a bootleg
We were tapped up to officially reimagine the track by Charlie Big & Shanie, with Shanie Campbell being the original vocalist of Alex Party - She's the voice that defined the original hit, and we have turned her classic vocal into a modern "Bass Tech" weapon for 2026.
Here's how a chance connection on social media led to our biggest release to date.
The Origin Story: From Socials to the Studio
The connection didn't happen in a boardroom; it happened in the comments section.
We were working at Fatboy Slim's 'All Back To Minehead' weekender in Somerset, handling photography and video for Lizzie Curious on her Curious Energy Stage. Naturally, we were active on the socials, posting content and engaging with the lineup afterwards.
Charlie Big (the producer working with Shanie on the new package) spotted our name popping up in the threads. He got curious, clicked through to our profile, and went down the digital rabbit hole. He found our debut track, 'Drop Tha Spot', liked the energy, and decided to reach out. An email landed in our inbox: "We've got this remix, would you like to do it?... take the energy of 'Drop Tha Spot' and just absolutely send it!"

Production Notes: Defining "Bass Tech"
When remixing a track as iconic as "Read My Lips" - an Alex Party staple - you have to respect the history while stamping your own identity on it. We define our sound as "Bass Tech" which, for us, is a fusion of driving Tech House and heavy Bass House but with a garage influence of swinging hats and snares.
We kept the 4x4 tech groove but injected a booty shakin' bassline designed for big club systems.
This was a beast of a project. At one point, we hit 127 channels in the DAW to layer the percussion and bass textures perfectly.
To ensure it hit hard on the dancefloor, the track was mastered by Oliver Portmento at Most Wanted Audio (known for his work with Toolroom, Defected, and Dirtybird).
"For me, this project hit on a personal level. Back at University in Wrexham, one of our modules was Remix Production by the late Andy Williams who was a founding member of house legends K-Klass.
I remember visiting their studio which was literally the coolest thing....an old Cold War nuclear bunker (ROC2) and knowing, "THIS is what I want to do."
Andy’s stories about DJ'ing, producing and his calm approach to crafting something from nothing stayed with me. To now be officially remixing an anthem from that same era, featuring the voice that helped define it, feels like a proper full-circle moment."

You want the linked version. The distro have messed up the naming. The shorter one is the 'Radio Edit' (3'33) and the longer (4'15) version is the 'Original Mix' with intro and outro for mixing.
