We chucked in our LIVE House of Funk Mix to Sam Supplier for his DJ Set Competition and we received a msg from him on Insta saying to check our emails .....saying we been chosen as one of the Runners Up! This meant we are in with a chance to play! Usually this isn't something we'd do but call it a whim....and now a prayer! Obviously we're up against a HEAP of quality DJs and Producers but you never know.... if you're not in it, you can't win it...and if you're not literally IN the building at 103 Gaunt Street (Ministry of Sound)... then you definitely can't do it! So we're crossing fingers, toes, eyes, collecting rabbit's feet and making blood sacrifices... joking... we're not crossing our eyes, that's stupid.
A massive thank you to Sam and the whole team at Future X Citizens for selecting us. What makes this even more special is that Sam has already shown some incredible support for our newest track. He recently said "Drop Tha Spot", our debut original track, "Sounds Banging" and has even given it a spin on his influential radio show!
To have that kind of endorsement from the man running the competition is a huge honour and it makes this opportunity feel even more exciting.
Two Chances to Play!
As runners-up, we have two chances to play a set in one of the main rooms on the night! The promoters will be selecting artists from the runners-up list to step behind those iconic decks, and we're hoping our sound is what they're looking for.To be able to play at a venue with such a rich history would be an absolute dream come true. We've always been about bringing the energy to the dancefloor, and we would love to bring the HERATIKS sound to the Ministry of Sound.
